How does Ivory Grove offer quality photography and videography at an affordable price?
Ivory Grove was built around the idea that couples shouldn't have to sacrifice quality or a great experience to find wedding photography and videography that fits their budget.
We operate as a coordinated team, with dedicated photographers and videographers capturing your wedding while our in-house team manages planning support, client communication, and editing. By centralizing these services, we can operate efficiently while maintaining the consistent quality and signature editing style you see throughout our portfolio.
Every couple receives personalized support from our team, and every gallery and film is edited in-house to reflect the timeless, true-to-life Ivory Grove style. This approach allows us to offer professional wedding photography and videography at accessible prices without compromising the experience we're committed to providing.
How many hours of wedding photography and videography do we need?
We offer 4.5, 6, 8, and 10 hours of coverage. We generally recommend eight hours for full wedding-day coverage, but the right fit depends on your timeline and the moments you want captured.
If you’re unsure, we recommend starting with fewer hours. You can easily increase coverage as your plans come together. We’re happy to help you choose a starting point.
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer and videographer?
We recommend booking around eight months before your wedding, but you’re welcome to book earlier once your date and location are confirmed. Availability varies by date and location.
Planning on a shorter timeline? Reach out! We’re always happy to check availability for last-minute bookings.
How do we book, and what payment methods do you accept?
Once your wedding date and location are confirmed, contact us and we’ll email you a customized proposal. You can review your package, sign your contract electronically, and pay your first payment by debit card, credit card, or bank transfer. Automatic payments are also available.
Your date is officially reserved once your contract is signed and your first payment is received. We do not offer temporary holds, and there is no difference in cost between payment methods.
How much is the deposit, and do you offer payment plans?
We offer two payment options:
1. Pay 50% when you book, with the remaining 50% due one week before your wedding.
2. Pay 15% when you book, with the remaining balance divided into monthly payments. The final payment is due one week before your wedding.
Both options have the same total cost. Need a different arrangement? We’re happy to discuss a payment plan that works for you.
Are there any travel fees?
For weddings and engagement sessions, the first 25 miles of applicable travel are included at no charge. Travel fees are calculated per team member for mileage beyond those first 25 miles.
We use the one-way mapped distance from the major city serving your area and include driving between your planned locations. Travel fees can apply even when all locations are within the same city. For example, 50 miles of applicable driving would result in a charge for 25 miles per team member.
Share all planned locations with us, and we’ll confirm any travel fees in your customized proposal before you book.
Can we add coverage or services after booking?
Yes! You can increase your coverage after booking or request additional services as your plans come together. Adding videography or additional team members is subject to availability.
If you’re unsure how many hours you need, we recommend starting with fewer hours because it's easier to add hours than take them away.
See our Timeline Guide for ideas about how much can be covered in a given number of hours.
What's included in your engagement session? Can we have multiple locations and outfits?
Our engagement sessions are 1.5 hours long and include 100+ professionally edited photos! They’re a great opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and capture photos that reflect your relationship.
You’re welcome to bring multiple outfits and visit multiple locations, as long as travel time and shooting time at each location fit within your 1.5-hour session. We’ll help you plan a session that feels natural, fun, and uniquely you! Check out our Engagement Session Tips guide for our best advice on planning and preparing for your session.
How much does additional coverage cost?
Additional coverage is $175 per hour, per photographer or videographer. When your added coverage reaches the next package level, we’ll apply that package’s pricing where applicable.
If you only need extra time with one professional, we can extend their coverage separately. We’ll confirm the updated total before you make a change.
What happens if we need to reschedule our wedding?
There is no fee to change your wedding date. Date changes are subject to availability, so please contact us before confirming a new date.
What happens if we need to cancel our wedding?
If you cancel, payments up to 50% of your total contract price are non-refundable. Any amount you’ve paid above 50% will be refunded, regardless of when you cancel.
If you’ve paid less than 50% when you cancel, the amount already paid is non-refundable, but you won’t be required to pay the difference.

Your Team
How do you choose our photographer and videographer?
We carefully match each couple with an Ivory Grove photographer and videographer based on availability and the needs of their wedding. Our team members are selected for their experience, professionalism, and ability to work within the Ivory Grove approach to wedding photography and videography.
All photos and films are edited by our in-house editing team to maintain the consistent, true-to-life style featured in our portfolio. If you’d like to learn more about our team or see examples of our individual photographer’s work, we’re happy to share available portfolios and consider your preferences when making assignments.
Will we speak with our photographer and videographer before the wedding?
Yes! Your assigned photographer and videographer will arrange an introductory call to get to know you and learn what matters most to you. You’ll discuss your plans, preferred approach to photos and video, must-have moments, and any family considerations you’d like them to know about.
You’ll also have a final planning call within one to two weeks of your wedding to review your timeline and confirm the details.
What if we don’t feel comfortable with our assigned photographer or videographer?
It's so important to us that you feel comfortable and confident with the people capturing your wedding! We know this is an incredibly important and special day. If you have concerns about your assigned photographer or videographer, simply let Lindsey, your Event Manager, know. She will help talk through your preferences and arrange a different team member.
Does your photo/video bundles include separate professionals?
Yes! Our standard photo and video bundles include a dedicated photographer and a dedicated videographer. They work together throughout your day, with one focused on your photos and the other focused on your video.
The Ivory package includes two photographers and one videographer.
You can always add a second photographer or second videographer to any package.
Should we add a second photographer or videographer?
A second photographer or videographer can be helpful if you’d like more variety and multiple angles of important moments, or if you and your partner are getting ready in separate places at the same time.
Our standard packages include one photographer, one videographer, or one of each, depending on the services you book. The Ivory package includes a second photographer. Additional team members can be added to other packages, subject to availability.
A second photographer or videographer is $100 per hour, with a four-hour minimum. Their coverage must fall within the primary photographer’s or videographer’s scheduled hours.
We’re happy to review your plans and help you decide whether another professional would be useful.
Will the same photographer capture our engagement session and wedding?
Yes, our standard arrangement is for the same photographer to capture both. Your engagement session is a chance to get to know each other and feel more comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding.
If you’d prefer a different photographer after your engagement session, let your event manager know. We’re happy to arrange a change. An emergency or unexpected change in availability may also require us to assign another photographer.
What happens if our photographer or videographer has an emergency?
If an emergency prevents your photographer or videographer from attending, we’ll begin working to find a replacement as soon as we’re aware of the situation. We’ll let you know about your updated assignment as soon as it’s confirmed.
In the unlikely event that we’re unable to find a replacement, we’ll fully refund the affected photography or videography portion of your contract. We've done over 3000 weddings as a team, and we’ve never had a wedding where we were unable to provide a replacement when one was needed.
Who will help us with questions and planning after we book?
Lindsey, your Event Manager, will be your main contact after booking. She’ll help with team introductions, package changes, your contract and payment plan, date or location changes, and questions about editing and delivery. She’ll also share planning tips along the way.
Your assigned photographer and videographer will work with you on wedding-day details, including your timeline, important shots, audio preferences, and how you’d like them to capture your celebration.

Wedding Day
Can you help us plan our wedding photography and videography timeline?
Absolutely! Your photographer and videographer will help you plan coverage around your ceremony, locations, lighting, and the moments that matter most to you.
Our timeline and lighting guides, linked below this section, are a helpful starting point. Review your plans with your assigned team so they can help you allow enough time for photos, video, and travel between locations.
We also have some fun inspo pages to help you with ideas as you plan your big day!
We feel awkward in front of the camera. Will you help us with posing?
Yes! Let us know how much guidance you’d like so we can keep that in mind when matching you with your photographer. Some couples want plenty of direction, while others prefer a more candid approach.
Discuss your preferences with your photographer before the wedding so they understand what will help you feel comfortable.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Your photographer and videographer will work with you to discuss backup locations and options for photos and video if the weather changes.
Talk through a weather plan with your team before the wedding so everyone knows the alternatives for your venues and timeline.
How do we share our must-have moments and family photo list?
You can add important moments and family photo combinations to your Wedding Details page. Review them with your photographer and videographer before the wedding so your team understands your priorities.
For family photos, include the names of the people in each grouping. Let your team know about any sensitive family situations that could affect how photos are organized.
Can we share examples of photos or videos we love?
Yes! We’re happy for you to share inspiration photos or videos from any source that you love. These can be especially helpful for communicating posing ideas, specific shots, or moments you’d like us to capture.
Our in-house editing team maintains the signature Ivory Grove style shown in our portfolio. While we’re happy to use inspiration photos for posing and creative direction, we don’t recreate other photographers’ or videographers’ editing styles.
Click the links below to explore examples of our work.
How much time should we allow for wedding portraits?
As a starting point, we recommend approximately 45 minutes for couple portraits, 30 minutes for wedding-party photos, and 30 minutes for family photos. Larger groups or longer photo lists may need additional time.
If you’re planning a first look, allow about 15 minutes for the first look itself, plus time for portraits afterward. Your photographer and videographer can help tailor the schedule to your plans.
You’ll find sample timelines in the guide linked below.
Can our photography and videography coverage include multiple locations?
Yes! Your coverage can include getting-ready locations, your ceremony, and your reception.
Travel between locations counts toward your booked coverage hours, and that mileage is included in the travel-fee calculation. Travel fees can apply even when all locations are within the same city if the total applicable mileage exceeds the included 25 miles.
Share all planned locations with us so we can confirm travel costs and help you allow enough time between stops.
Will you coordinate with our venue and other vendors?
Yes! Please share contact information for your planner, venue, officiant, DJ, and any other vendors your photographer and videographer may need to coordinate with.
Let your team know about ceremony restrictions, audio arrangements, and important scheduled moments so they can plan with the people involved.
Do we need to provide meals for our photographer and videographer?
If a team member’s coverage exceeds five hours, please provide them with a meal.
We recommend arranging for your team to be served when you are eating so they’re ready to capture the events that follow.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes! Ivory Grove carries $1 million in liability coverage. We're happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to your venue upon request. If your venue has specific insurance requirements, please let us know so we can help determine whether our coverage meets them.

Photos & Videos
Where can we see examples of your photography and videography?
Our portfolio features wedding photos and films created by the Ivory Grove team. You can alos explore our Instagram and YouTube channel!
If you’d like to see a complete wedding gallery or additional finished films, reach out! We’re happy to share examples to help you get a feel for our work.
How many edited wedding photos will we receive?
Our packages include a minimum number of edited photos based on your coverage: approximately 400+ photos for 4.5 hours, 500+ for six hours, 600+ for eight hours, and 700+ for 10 hours. The Ivory package includes approximately 900+ wedding photos with two photographers.
These numbers represent the minimum you can expect, not a limit on how many photos you’ll receive. We carefully select and edit the best photos from your day, and we never leave out a great image simply to stay within a predetermined number. If we capture more wonderful moments, you’ll receive those, too!
What editing is included, and can we request retouching?
Every wedding gallery is edited in our signature Ivory Grove style, featuring natural, true-to-life colors and a timeless look. Our in-house editing team works to maintain a consistent appearance throughout your gallery, from getting-ready photos to your reception.
Standard editing includes adjustments to color, lighting, and overall image consistency. If you'd like additional refinements to specific images, such as blemish removal or removing small distractions, we include up to 20 complimentary photo retouches. Simply send your event manager the file names and a description of the changes you'd like to request.
Will our photos have watermarks, and can we print them ourselves?
Your delivered photos will not have watermarks, and you’ll receive full printing rights. You can print them wherever you choose, although we recommend a professional photo lab for the best results.
What videos are included, and how long are they?
Our videography packages include a highlight film, a 60-second teaser, and raw footage.
Highlight films are generally four minutes or longer with 4.5 hours of coverage, six minutes or longer with six hours, eight minutes or longer with eight hours, and 10 minutes or longer with 10 hours. The finished length depends on the footage captured and the music selected.
Your highlight film brings together selected moments from your day. It is not a full-length recording of each event.
Our Editing Explained page has more information and examples.
Will our wedding video include our vows, ceremony, and speeches?
It's up to you! All of our video packages include professional audio recording. Our standard approach is to incorporate portions of your ceremony and speeches into your highlight video, but we're happy to customize this based on your preferences. If you'd prefer not to include audio from these moments, that's absolutely fine! If there are specific parts you'd especially like featured, we'd love to know.
Please discuss your preferences with your videographer so they can be sure to capture the moments that matter most to you. For any specific editing requests, please reach out to Lindsey, your Event Manager.
Highlight films include selected moments rather than complete recordings of each event. If you want full-length, multiple-angle coverage of specific events, our Documentary Film add-on is $800 and includes four hours with a second videographer.
Can we choose the music for our wedding video?
Yes! You can choose music from the licensed music libraries we use, or let our editing team select it for you.
Copyright laws are strict, and music must be properly licensed for use in wedding videos. The producers determine which songs are available for licensing and under what conditions. Because of this, not every song is available for us to use, even if it’s a popular favorite. We can only use music that we’re able to legally license through our approved music libraries.
Our song selection guide, linked below this section, explains the process and shows you how to browse available music. We’re also happy to help you find a song that fits the feeling and style of your film!
Is raw video footage included, and what will we receive?
Yes! Our videography packages include raw footage. We’ll send you a Dropbox download link at the same time we deliver your highlight and teaser videos.
Raw footage consists of the original, unedited video clips and available audio files. Clips may be slow-motion or regular-speed, and audio may be provided separately. The files have not been color-corrected, synchronized, or assembled into a finished film.
Your videographer focuses on capturing footage for your edited films, so raw footage is not a continuous recording of the entire day. Our Editing Explained page, linked below this section, provides more information and examples.
Can we request changes to our wedding video?
Yes! If there’s something you’d like adjusted after watching your film, send your event manager a clear description of the change. Including timestamps can help us understand your request.
We’re happy to discuss reasonable revisions and what’s possible with the footage and audio captured.
When will we receive our photos and videos?
We aim to deliver wedding photos and videos in less than 30 days after your wedding. During very busy wedding seasons, it may take up to 60 days. Engagement photos are typically delivered within two weeks, but during very busy times, it may take up to 4 weeks.
We focus on delivering your finished gallery and films rather than providing separate sneak peeks.
How will we receive, download, and share our photos and videos?
Your photos will be delivered through an online Pixieset gallery, where you can download full-resolution images, share them with family and friends, and order professional prints.
Your edited videos will be shared through YouTube links for easy viewing and sharing. You’ll also receive a Dropbox link to download your edited videos and raw footage.
We recommend downloading all your photos and videos within 30 days of delivery and keeping your own backup copies. Online galleries and download links are not intended as permanent storage.
Our media delivery guide, linked below, explains how to access and save your files.
Is wedding videography worth it if we already have a photographer?
Photography and videography preserve different parts of your wedding. Photos let you pause on a moment, while video brings back movement, voices, and the feeling of being there.
If hearing your vows, watching your first dance, or reliving moments with loved ones matters to you, videography can be a meaningful addition. The right choice depends on your priorities and budget, and we’re happy to help you explore the options.

Exactly what we wanted! Captured every important moment ❤️ They were so easy to communicate with and made our day perfect! We even made a few last-minute add-ons, like videography the day before the wedding, and they delivered perfectly!
