Bridal Party

lighting considerations

  • Bridal party photos after the ceremony: These fun group photos are usually taken right after family photos, however, depending on your timeline and the sunset time for your day, it can work well to take at least some of these before the ceremony.  We recommend this especially if there is less than 1.5 hours between the end of the ceremony and sunset.  If you plan on doing all family photos, bridal party, and couple portraits after the ceremony, 1.5 hours of good light is needed.

  • Bridal party photos before the ceremony: If you're doing a first look, you can take all of them before the ceremony.  If you're opting to not do a first look, we can do the separate photos as a part of the getting process. After we get the guys getting ready, we would then take all of the photos with the groom and his groomsmen (individuals and group).  After we get the girls getting ready, we would then take all of the photos with the bride and her bridesmaids (individual and group).  Then after family photos, we would just need to grab the big group photo with everyone together.

  • If you opt to take these photos when the lighting is not ideal, we will want to find even shade or we might get lucky and have an overcast day.
